Tuesday Tea: Dr. Nicole Holliday on Overcoming Adversity: The Year That Changed Everything

Prepare to laugh, cry and be inspired by this episode, listeners because today we are chatting with Dr. Nicole Holliday, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Science at Pomona College in Claremont, California, and soon to be Associate Professor in the Linguistics Department at UC Berkeley!

Nicole received her Ph. D. in linguistics from New York University, and her BA in linguistics and Spanish from The Ohio State University. If that wasn't enough, Nicole is also a trivia MASTER, huge traveler, marathon runner, Crossfit level 1 trainer and a bride to be in four months and counting! But overcoming adversity and unexpected setbacks is the name of the game this episode as Nicole takes us through the WILD ride and huge unexpected setback(s) that was her 2023...so much so that a Lifetime movie exec would say "nah, that's not realistic." So strap in, listeners. You're DEFINITELY going to want to tune in to this one and we'll definitely have to have her back for more linguistics talk!
